Jeni McClish
Ballet-Primary Division
Jeni, a lover of all kinds of movement, is originally from San Diego, California. The young Jeni McClish was introduced to dancing through her professional Ballet and Flamenco dancer cousins. She loved dance early on, and started her training at the San Diego School of Ballet, and really came into her own in Tucson at Southern Arizona Dance Theatre, under the direction of Jane Matty Willet.
At Southern Arizona Dance Theatre, Jeni performed lead roles in classical ballets, including Sugar Plum from The Nutcracker, Aurora from The Sleeping Beauty, and the lead in Snow White. She also created roles in La Hetania with Richard Holdan and Manifestation with Hassan Afelock. Jeni studied on scholarship at The Boston Conservatory, where she premiered Tongue and Cheek.
Early on in her career, Jeni was introduced to Pilates as a method of cross training as a way to support the body with balance and integrity. This inspired her to open her own Pilates and Movement studio, which she has run for the last fifteen years, while raising her three wonderful children. She is excited to join Ballet Rincon and join energies with this wonderful team.
