Register now for Ballet Rincon’s exceptional Preschool Programs for the Fall 2019/Spring 2020 Season, taught by master teachers and specializing in inspired child-centered movement classes for the youngest movers and dancers, ages three to four.

Ballet Rincon’s Preschool Program offers more than 20 years of early childhood dance training expertise, taught by master instructors sensitive to the developmental needs of the youngest dancers. With three separate and tiered programs, this division celebrates the magic of dance for tiny movers and plants the seeds of solid foundational training through music and movement, allowing the love of dance to blossom.

Meet the Program director

Carrie Hill

Ms. Hill combines her advanced early childhood education and extensive dance background to do what she loves best: To teach young children to dance and experience joy in movement.

Dance has been a part of her life since the age of 3, and as a child and teen, Carrie had the opportunity to study in both Europe and the United States.

Carrie was awarded her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Economics from Texas Tech University, and then followed her passion for teaching young children through extensive early childhood education from Central Texas College and Master of Education coursework from Northern Arizona University. Along with her classical dance education expertise, she brings to Ballet Rincon eight combined years of academic experience in teaching young children as a Balanced Literacy Specialist for the Tucson Unified School District and the United States Department of Defense Schools-Europe.

As BR’s Director of Preschool Programs since 2002, Ms. Hill used her passion for movement to develop the Division’s innovative ballet, tap and Preschool Movement Workshop curriculums, and she continues to sustain the foundation of BR’s training philosophy in our youngest students. With children of her own, she understands the importance of positive feedback and encourages students to feel successful in their dancing and confident in themselves.

Preschool Movement Workshop

Giving a child the gift of joyful movement is invaluable. For children ages 3-4, the Pre-school Movement Workshop (PMW), is offered in 6-class sessions. Each series is designed around a central theme, and enhances gross motor skills and freestyle movement to a variety of music styles.

Preschool Combination

For children age 4 by August 31st of the current Ballet Rincon Season, the Pre-school Combination class runs the academic year, with the option to participate in the Ballet Rincon Spring Showcase. This class introduces basic ballet technique and basic tap technique in a play-based environment.

Kindermusik

From infants, up to 4 years old, partnering with Kindermusik at Musical Steps, Ballet Rincon is pleased to offer this award-winning, research based program that helps children blossom through songs, dance, and instruments! Kindermusik at Musical Steps has received the Maestro award for 12 years running, and is in the top 5% of Kindermusik Studios worldwide. We offer a Toddler Class (18 months- 4 years), and an Infant Class (0-18 months).

11:30 am Beginning Jazz – Ages 8+
12:00 pm Jazz Leveling – Ages 8+ (Prior Ballet or Jazz experience required)
