The Ballet Rincon Ensemble Program

Originally founded as the Ballet Rincon Performance Ensemble in 2010, the Ballet Rincon Ensemble Program offers two tracks of rigorous, supplemental programming that gives serious students further advanced training in concert dance forms (Classical Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary) through extended and focused training hours in both technique and repertoire. Members of the Ensemble serve as ambassadors for Ballet Rincon and as advocates for dance and the arts in the greater city of Tucson. They have been invited to perform in multiple events in Tucson, including the Tucson Museum of Art’s Annual Crush Gala Fundraiser, the Confucius Institute at The University of Arizona’s Chinese New Year Celebration, Vail Pride, the Tucson Festival of Books, Art in the Park, and the Arizona Jazz Dance Showcase Invitational Concert.

BR Ensemble

The BR Ensemble provides dancers with opportunities to explore the robust world of dance composition (choreography), dance writing (dance critique), dance production, and affiliate dance careers (e.g. education, Physical Therapy, sports medicine), as well as, participate in extracurricular performance occasions.

Membership is offered to all dancers leveled in Ballet Level 8 or higher, and allows serious dancers the ability to participate in Ballet Rincon performances at a more advanced level, explore the breadth and diversity that exists in the dance world.

Repertory Ensemble

Due to the current pandemic, Fall 2020 Repertory Ensemble has been temporarily suspended.

For the dancer who possesses adequate natural facility, technical and artistic potential, a mental commitment to pursuing the art of dance performance, and knows that he/she would like to pursue dance post High School, the Repertory Ensemble (RE) gives this student more targeted training in classical ballet and concert dance through extended and focused training hours in both technique and repertoire. Membership is by audition only, and all dancers in Ballet Level 8 or higher are eligible for auditioning. The RE operates as the pre-professional track for Ballet Rincon dancers. This is a rigorous program designed to prepare the young dancer for a future in dance performance.
